 Dr. Hailu is a board-certified Dentist from the state of California. After gaining her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of San Francisco, she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of California in San Francisco. Dr. Hailu then joined a group practice at Glen Park Dental, where she dedicated three years in caring for families of The Glen Park community before moving to her private office in the Marina. She is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, National Dental Association, San Francisco Dental Society, the Greater Bay Area Dental Society, the California Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. Currently, Dr. Hailu serves on the board of directors of San Francisco Dental Society. She devotes a great deal of her time to keeping up with her profession through various seminars and classes, and encourages her staff as well to join her in these educational opportunities.
Because of the many hours Dr. Hailu invests yearly in continuing her education, she is sought out and referred to by many of her dental colleagues. To date she has accomplished all aspects of General Dentistry, including preventative, restorative, and surgical techniques. She has performed thousands of procedures and rebuilt many mouths to full function. In this capacity, she has built a reputation of quality care, with a positive caring attitude for her patients.
Through her years of training and experience, Dr. Hailu has developed a theory of Comprehensive Dental Care. It begins with developing ideal oral health for the teeth and supporting tissues, as well as excellence in appearance and function. This is followed up with a resourceful and serious program of preventive dental care. Her first priority is to attain excellence in oral health, then help you to maintain it.
She is also committed to comfortable, pain free, and relaxed dentistry. She believes negative dental experiences should be a thing of the past. A top priority for her is equipping the office with the latest technology so that each patient can receive the best dental care available. Creating healthy beautiful smiles is what she does best.
When Dr. Hailu isn’t providing dentistry, her life is made complete with her husband Jeffrey and her dog Benji. Some of her hobbies include scuba diving, golf, biking, camping, and traveling.

 Alexis Brake has worked as a Registered Dental Assistant , financial administrator, and an office manager. She is a highly organized and dedicated professional who maintains an efficient, compassionate, friendly, smoothly running office. She anticipates and meets the needs of the Marina Tooth Fairy staff as well as those of the patients while at the same time making sure that the business requirements of the office are met in a timely and accurate manner. Alexis has a talent for making patients feel comfortable not only with their treatment plan but with their financial arrangements. When Alexis is not taking care of her patients, she is a proud mother of her son Jaden. She enjoys, cooking, interior decorating, and scrap booking.
